Samsung Galaxy Note II details, picture leak before official announcement

The official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Note II is literally just around the corner, but it seems the final details have managed to leak out at the last minute. PocketNow has posted new details about the Galaxy Note II. Most the design elements found on the Samsung Galaxy S III are included (not too different from the fake leaked images we saw two weeks ago) with TouchWiz running on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).

Internal specifications are said to include a 1.6GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a massive 3100mAh battery and a 5.5-inch, 1280×720 Super AMOLED display. Users will have the option of choosing between 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, but there’s always the option for expanded storage with a built-in microSD card slot. The device will feature an 8 megapixel camera on the back and a 1.9 megapixel camera in front. Naturally, Samsung will be including its S Pen stylus and dedicated writing applications.

Hopefuly pricing and availability details will be unveiled once Samsung officially announces the Galaxy Note II .

That was my thought. Seems like the device is middling toward the GS3, but with a stylus.

  Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a bad thing. I personally like the style of my GS3. Just thought it was interesting that they’re sticking with it.
  
  Maybe because Apple hasn’t yet sued them for that design yet? But you know it’s a matter of time since it has a shape and has colors on it, and a screen. :-/

    By the way, about Apple. They say that they are super-secret and do everything to prevent leaks, but photos of iphones appear every year. And this is the first picture of Note II and SGS3 was a surprise for everyone.
    Oh, I see: Apple sued Samsung just because they are jealous about that.

Yeah, I agree, it is very similar to the S3 in shape and design. Good thing Samsung won’t sue itself for trade dress!

I wonder if I should get my wife this phone and then swap my S3 with her or just keep it.

Awww man. I would kill for this device and yet they don’t have a Verizon version. This is my dream phone here and I can’t get it! Such an awesome device. Wish I could sign up for one.

I’m surprised that people are surprised that the Galaxy Note II design is like the SGS III design. Did you guys not see the first Note? It was a bigger SGS II. So what major difference did you expect the Galaxy Note II to be in software and design?

It’s a nice device but people are looking and expecting it to be a totally different device. It’s just a bigger phone that utilizes the stylus and a few notepad like features. I mean you can’t go wrong with it but I wasn’t expecting much.

One very interesting thing is the 3100mah battery and it is still just over 9mm. That’s very thin for such a battery. I hope they toss that in the Nexus or future devices.

Let it come to T-Mobile in a timely manner and I’ll be happy!

Maybe Samsung will realize what a smart and successful decision it was to release the GS3 on all four major US carriers in a near simultaneous fashion and do the same with the Note 2.
