NFL Pro 2013 touches down on Android soon

The NFL’s regular officiating crews are back, and now it’s time for football to return to normal. Gameloft just uploaded a teaser video for NFL Pro 2013 and said the title is coming soon to Android. This free to play football simulator features all 32 NFL teams, but it looks like Gameloft still doesn’t have a license for the individual players. Check out the clip below and let us know what team you are rooting for this year.

I would bet EA owns the rights to player names in all gaming content. You’ll have to wait and see if they make a Madden Mobile if you want player names.

Or they already did and it’s exclusive to Verizon

Your comment made me think of NFL 2K (since I was wondering what happened to them). Apparently, EA does have exclusive rights to the names of the NFL players from 2005-2013. Actually, NFL 2K5 did so well, that is what made EA seek exclusivity in the first place. (Which killed the NFL 2K series. To make matters worse EA would go on to sign a deal to gain exclusive use of the ESPN brand in video games.)
