I have purchased between 0 and 3 Nexus 4 phones. I’m not sure but Discover seems to think I bought 2. Interested to see what actually shows up…

    • westy

That’s what happened to me. Was going to just say fuck it and get two but then decided to refresh. Wrong move, kept getting the error after that.

  • YK Lee

Out of stock already….changed to COMING SOON.

  • NickFera

No longer accepting orders (Coming soon…). It’s 12PM EST, sigh.

  • Max.Steel

I hope Google opens physical stores in the near future or partner up with more retail giants to make their Nexus devices more readily available.

  • cj100570

If you use Google Wallet you may want to check your transactions as some people are reporting that the order went through even when it says there was an error.

  • Brian

So the VZW Droid DNA announcement got in my head long enough that I hesitated to read the return policy on the Nexus, and when I clicked proceed to checkout I got the same error. Cart empty. At least this way I might get a chance to read a review of the DNA. LTE, polycarbonate back, and rural coverage might be useful, despite the price.

  • Odie

Thank you Google, for handling this so poorly. Official U.S. Launch will be 9:00AM PST, phone goes on sale around 8:35AM. I had the damn thing in my cart, filled in my personal info, got an error. Now it’s sold out, with a “coming soon” label. I never got a notification email in the first place, how am I to believe I’ll be notified next time.

    • iamXiV92a

      FULLY Agreed. . .

      • Sheldon

Agreed as well, I was on it soon as the devices came available, 1 nexus 4, 1 bumper and 1 nexus 10.
Then the errors, 10 minutes later with constant praying and clicking Proceed I just saw one after the next vanish from my cart.

This really has left a sour taste in my mouth for google.

*Cricket sounds* its so lonely in here. I’m gonna wait a week or two to see if there is any news of a white one coming. If not, i’ll just catch the second batch.

    • Stella

Are there rumors of a white Nexus 4? I heard rumors that a 32GB might in the works, but that’s just a dream…for now.

        no rumors…just false hope.

        • SteveEdson

Actually, its seen in the video that The verge filmed at Google HQ. Carphone Warehouse here in the UK have a white option on their website and in their stock systems.

            “keep hope alive!” +100

  • Stella

I want to be a rational because it’s *just* a phone. On the other hand, the inner me (I call her Caroline) is flipping tables, taking to the streets, talking about injustice, throwing rocks at store fronts and setting cars on fire. I keep “her” under lock and key.

    • Pleirosei

LOL. Should have tamed that chick earlier on, let her know what was up. lol

      • Stella

Don’t worry! I’ll never let her out the cage unless the world turn into a Mad Mad dystopian world. ;)

  • Pleirosei

I got through just fine, what you talkin’ bout? I ain’t even buying the phone, lol.

  • chief113

    What a bunch of BS.

  • disassembler

I should have started refreshing the page at 11:30. I check at 11:48 and I think the 16GB model was gone by then.

  • RonWeez

they told me insufficient funds and i almost had a heart attack but it was because i pressed refresh and it doubled my order but they let me fix it now im getting a Nexus 4 and bumper case. FUCK YEA

  • ScientiaExcelsa

    HATERAGEBILELOATHINGVITRIOL.

I crashed during “Order Processing”. Thanks a lot, Google.

    • ScientiaExcelsa

I take it all back, I got a delayed confirmation email! I am now the proud owner of a 16BG Nexus 4. =’)

  • Matt Beaulne

I got my (8gb) Neuxs 4! woot! I hope they restock for friends that missed out.

  • Don Boogie

I got “Add To Cart” on 16GB, clicked it, then the next screen said “Cart Is Empty.” “Coming Soon” after that. Oh and I never got that notification email I signed up for 2 weeks ago…

    • iamXiV92a

      Same result here… rubbish

  • Raghavendra Sarva

    Hurray!!! I got Nexus 4 16GB!!

    • xyzyxx

I think I speak for everyone here when I say, congratulations you son of a bitch.

  • nitrog7

Finally it went through even though I had a 16GB in my cart earlier that didn’t. I figure just sell the 8GB later when the 16GB comes back in stock.

    • nitrog7

omg, how do they sell out so fast, do they only have like 30 devices in stock or something? went back to double check on a 16gb and now the 8gb are gone too. Glad I didn’t think twice. :/

  • Cole Loomis

Mine got hung up on the purchase popup, so I wash’t sure if it went through. But it is showing up on wallet, and the amount is no longer available on my credit card, so I assume it did.

    • Cole Loomis

Ok. I finally got the email. 25 minutes later.

  • Jer K

    All gone. :/

Just got my NEXUS it was stressfull. Like on eBay when your about to win the bid. Took me about 30minutes. Chicago I started at 10:40 got done at 11:07. THANK YOU GOOGLE. maybe because I used my Xoom tablet to make the purchase.

  • Google Sucks

Kicked me out of my shopping cart and removed the Nexus 4. When i tried to add it back in, it has reverted back to the “nofify me” screen instead of add to cart. I was on right at 9am, are you saying it is already sold out? Google Sucks

  • Astreal Rahl

Never did see the final confirmation screen go away, but i sure got billed for two of them!!! Such a fail on google’s part

        • Colton

Whoops, accidentally posted my reply as a regular message. The number and link are there, but I’ll put it here too: 1-855-83-NEXUS

  • halo0

Just got a 16GB at 1:22 EST. I think they are doling out a few every few minutes so the servers can handle the transactions without crashing. Keep refreshing and if you see that it’s in stock HIT THE BUTTON IMMEDIATELY. If you wait for the whole page to finish loading they will be gone already.

  • Colton

I just read them in an article. One minute.

Here it is: I got it from Android Police.

    http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/11/13/psa-us-customers-you-only-have-a-few-hours-to-wait-google-confirms-9am-pst-launch-time/

The number is at the bottom of the post. 1-855-83-NEXUS

    • Jack

That phone number does appear, buried in device support. I did call. They couldn’t help me – told me the tablet was sold out.

So I gave up hope, closed the hung wallet popup, and tried again. Got a “there’s a problem with the server msg.”

Gave it one last shot (not expecting much) by completely closing down the site and re-starting my order. Guess what? I got it.

How stupid is that? Everyone here says the 32gb tablet was sold out. The help desk rep said it was sold out… and I manage to get it. I should be happy I guess but I’m not really. I’m of an age where I don’t appreciate being put through these hoops to make a simple purchase.

BTW FWIW The help desk answered right away, which tells me that not a lot of people are aware of that number… which tells me, Colton, that you’ve done quite a good service for everyone by posting that number. :-)

  • Jaywrayson

Took about 15 minutes before my order finally processed, but I GOT IT! Sexy Nexii 4, baby!

  • Googeli

I told my brother (living in the US) to buy me the N4, he tried as soon as they opened and with no luck.

After two hours I urged him to try again and to my amaze…it worked!!!

So keep refreshing and im sure u will manage to get your hands on one.

  • tb1820

Anyone get a shipping confirmation yet?

    • Jaywrayson

      No…just an order conformation.

  • Jaywrayson

Google said they wouldn’t charge our cards until it ships out. Well, my card has been charged, but no email with shipping details yet. Just an order conformation notice.

  • Comet

This was badly handled. Yes the servers may have issues but you don’t run out of stock in less than half an hour. There are many ways to handle this. Have an order queue. Allow the order to complete and notify on possible dates of delivery. A lot of things.
But above all the issue is they could have a good clue of the demand. After all there is a “notify me” option on the site. Probably a big number of people looking to buy the Nexus, used that option. The number of notification subscribers alone should have given them a nice clue of the demand.

I’m very interested to see the sales numbers and hope they are huge.
If not, that would mean this was just publicity stunt. They come out with promises of a cheap phone but they can’t deliver and you have to wait weeks to get one for that price. The only option is to pick the phone at a high price on the traditional market where there are other phones with better features. It ends up being bait..

I hope I’m wrong as I never had any issues with Google and overall have a good image of them.

  • awesome sauce

Wow all the error stories suck so bad! It really shouldn’t be this hard to give a company your $400.I know its only a phone but when we are spending our earned dinero on these things we don’t expect it to include a mind rape. I was lucky and started my order at 11:34 in NYC. It went through like a breeze and i got an email notification within 5 minutes. Even the sun shines on a dogs b*hole sometimes….

  • kookeetree

        • ColtonGuest 3 years ago

Whoops, accidentally posted my reply as a regular message. The number and link are there, but I’ll put it here too: 1-855-83-NEXUS

I just read them in an article. One minute.

Here it is: I got it from Android Police.

    http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/11/13/psa-us-customers-you-only-have-a-few-hours-to-wait-google-confirms-9am-pst-launch-time/

The number is at the bottom of the post. 1-855-83-NEXUS

I told my brother (living in the US) to buy me the N4, he tried as soon as they opened and with no luck.

After two hours I urged him to try again and to my amaze…it worked!!!

So keep refreshing and im sure u will manage to get your hands on one.

Anyone get a shipping confirmation yet?

    • JaywraysonGuest 3 years ago

      No…just an order conformation.

  45. JaywraysonGuest 3 years ago

Google said they wouldn’t charge our cards until it ships out. Well, my card has been charged, but no email with shipping details yet. Just an order conformation notice.

  48. Either this means Android is popular or Google servers sucks. I’m going to say popular since I never had any problems in the past. =D

  49. Would love to have one… but it’s out of my cash-limits… :S

I have been unable to purchase a Nexus 10 today. Every attempt to provide an address or payment instrument the site locks.

    ??

  51. Would really want to see the Nexus 4 but I think I will wait.
