HTC First down to a dollar on contract for a limited time

HTC first

Have your eye on an HTC First, the for-all-intents-and-purposes Facebook phone, but can’t decide if you should pull the trigger or not? Now is the time, as the device is available right this moment for just $0.99 on-contract with AT&T.

Whether you like Facebook or not, the HTC First is a great device. For just a dollar on-contract with AT&T right now, you can get a rather slick device with a 4.3-inch 720p Super LCD display, 1.4GHz dual-core Snapdragon 400, 16GB of storage, a 5-megapixel camera, access to AT&T’s LTE network and best of all, stock Jelly Bean. Once you disable Facebook Home, your HTC first is a bonafide stock Android device, complete with Google Now and all the extras.

If you’re sticking with the contract model, and Ma Bell is your carrier of choice, this is a fantastic deal. The First isn’t the best of the best, but it’s a very capable device well worth a dollar. Hit up AT&T to take advantage of this deal now. Anyone with a First of their own, feel free to share your first hand experience with the device below.

It’s nice that it is stock underneath, would like this option on all devices.

Agreed, that may be the one saving grace of this phone.

Not really, they are just pushing the European model, all phones can be had for free (or close to) at point of sale.

This pricing is coming from AT&T, not HTC.

Wish more phones had the option of stock underneath. Would make for a great option on high end non nexus devices.
