Motorola DROID MAXX leaked image shows off Kevlar shell, capacitive buttons

A leaked image of the Motorola Droid MAXX for Verizon is making its way across the web, giving us a clear look at the front of the phone. The design of the Motorola Droid MAXX isn’t much of a departure from devices like the RAZR M or RAZR HD, but it will be the first Motorola device in quite some time to not feature any logos on the front. The Droid MAXX trades in on-screen buttons for capacitive ones and the volume and power buttons visibly protrude from the right edge of the device.

While little in known about the Motorola Droid MAXX, the handset is associated with the XT1080M, said to be an extended battery version of the XT1080 Motorola Droid Ultra. Since the Droid Ultra recently passed through the FCC and is expected to make its way to Verizon stores soon, it’s not too far of a stretch to assume the Motorola Droid MAXX will be tagging along for the ride.

I like the look and smaller bezel. Interested to see what the specs will be though.

Forget all HTCs, S4s and Motorolas. Any hacks here to look and investigate these really cheap 1080p UMI X2 phones which go from $250 to $300 for 1G/16G to 2G/32G. They claim to have 850 WCDMA band which might work with US MVNOs (Net10 Straight Talk etc) on AT&T network.

No word yet on any new Nexus devices? They really need a super spec device, LTE, and much better camera announcement timed with new iPhone and ios7. It would help to have a major Android update but the ongoing 4.3 and not 5.0 rumors is also concerning. Thought with Google owning Motorola, they might manufacture it (most of their devices I’ve decided my next device will either be us souped up Nexus at $350 or I’m finally making the iPhone switch.seem tied to Verizon).
