Samsung Galaxy Note Pro rumored to be launching on AT&T

Following the Samsung Galaxy Note 3′s early October arrival on AT&T’s shelves, a new rumor claims that the phablet device will soon get a Note-branded neighbor on the big blue carrier. According to @evleaks, a device known as the “Samsung Galaxy Note Pro” will be sold by AT&T, complete with the model number SM-P907A. The tweet makes no mention of when AT&T is actually planning to launch the Galaxy Note Pro.

When it comes to what makes the Galaxy Note Pro tick, today’s leak doesn’t shed any light on the device’s specs or anything else. However, a recent rumor suggested that Note Pro is a tablet with a 12.2-inch 2560×1600 display, 3GB RAM and a beefy 9500mAh battery. Obviously all of those details are still unconfirmed at this point, but the Note Pro’s purported SM-P907A supports the theory that it’s a tablet — the Galaxy Note 10.1 – 2014 Edition carries the model number SM-P600 while the Galaxy Note 3 is also known as the SM-N900.

Samsung has shown in the past that it’s not afraid to unleash devices onto the market with a wide range of screen sizes. The company currently offers tablets with 7, 8, and 10.1-inch screens, and models with 7.7-inch and 8.9-inch displays have been offered in the past. After hitting so many different screen sizes with its previous tablets, Samsung may have decided that it’s time to move beyond the 10.1-inch size that tablets often top out at. The good news is that we may not have long to wait before this mysterious Galaxy Note Pro is made official, as the rumor mill claims that Samsung could introduce the device before the end of March.

Would you be interested in a tablet with a 12.2-inch display or do you prefer your slates to be a bit smaller?
