Verizon posts HTC One Android 4.3 update changelog

Verizon HTC One

Time to get excited, Verizon HTC One owners, because it looks like your Android 4.3 update may finally be near. Just a couple of days after HTC executive Mohammed Versi announced that the Verizon One’s update to Android 4.3 would begin rolling out early this week, Verizon has posted its official changelog for the update. Along with a bump up to the latest version of Jelly Bean, owners can expect to find an increased charging speed when pairing an HTC One with the Mophie Juicepack, better Backup Assistant performance and more. The full changelog:

KEY ISSUES HAVE BEEN RESOLVED

  • Increased charging speed when using Mophie Juicepack power station
  • Corrected faint ringing noise from earpiece
  • Play purchased ringtones
  • Connection error fixed in the HTC Watch application
  • View the correct date using the all day calendar reminder
  • Conjunction words are better recognized on device keyboard
  • Backup Assistant performance

KEY OS ENHANCEMENTS

  • VZ Cloud App is now preloaded
  • Back up contacts, photos, text messages and call logs
  • Transfer that content to your new phone or if other is lost/stolen

GALLERY>VIDEO HIGHLIGHT IMPROVEMENTS

  • Add your own music tracks to Video Highlights video
  • Simply tap Menu>Select Music to choose a song from your collection

There are certainly some nice improvements packed in there, but I’m guessing that most Verizon HTC One owners are just glad that they’re finally almost on Android 4.3. There’s no word yet on when this update will actually begin rolling out, but if you’ve got a Verizon One and want to check for it yourself, you can do just that by going into Settings > Phone Update > Check for Update > Download Now. If you manage to pull any Jelly Bean goodness from the sky, be sure to give us a shout in the comments section below!
