The US-bound LG G Flex was unveiled at CES 2014, but today we’ve finally received word that Sprint will start selling the curved Android smartphone on January 31 through its website for $300 when paired with a two-year contract. Retail store availability is scheduled for February 7. Off-contract pricing for the LG G Flex is set at $649.99 – significantly cheaper than the $850 price tag we’ve seen from multiple online retailers. Those willing to sign a two-year contract can pre-order the device today from Sprint.
The insane price of the LG G Flex is mainly attributed to the handset’s 6-inch 720p curved display; the 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP camera, 3,500 mAh battery and Android 4.2.2 can be found in over a half dozen other, less expensive devices currently available.
