The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo (Lite) will house the first mobile hexa-core processor

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite has been leaked a few times in name, but not with any information attached. Today, a new leak shows not only a new name for the device, but some specifications as well. The Note 3 Lite has been renamed to the Galaxy Note 3 Neo and the spec list offers some interesting new information: the Note 3 Neo will house the first mobile hexa-core processor ever.

This new hexa-core processor will have two 1.7GHz cores and four 1.3GHz cores, probably working in a similar fashion to the Exynos octa-core processor. The weaker cores will do the menial tasks to save energy, while the powerful cores are reserved for tasks that need a lot of power.

The other specs line up with the older Galaxy Note II. It will feature a 5.55-inch 720p Super AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage with a microSD slot, an 8MP camera and a 3,100 mAh battery. It also adds WiFi ac, USB 3.0, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and similar to the Note 3, a thinner 8.6mm body with a faux leather back.

So far, the Galaxy Note 3 Neo seems pretty dang nice, unlike many of Samsung’s more budget devices. Unfortunately, today’s leaked spec sheets don’t point out a release date or a price. We’ll just have to wait for official word. Check out the full spec sheets for more info, and tell us, what do you think?

Those frecuencies are just too familiar to Mediatek’s Cortex A7 cores in the MT6592 and MT6572/82 respectively.

Does it mean a custom chipset with BigLittle technology made by Mediatek for the Galaxy Lite range???

That would be a pretty smart move by Samsung.

What the hell is lite about that?
