Best Buy drops the Samsung Galaxy Gear to $150 today

Samsung Galaxy Gear

If you’re celebrating Singles Awareness Day and are in the mood to score a deal, Best Buy has just the thing for you. Today only, the price of the Samsung Galaxy Gear is dropping down to a mere $150. Half of what the Gear cost at launch with its high price of $299. If we may say so ourselves, this is one of the best deals that we’ve seen lately. The Gear didn’t have much functionality at launch, but with recent updates and the possibilities opened up with hacking the Gear, it’s become much more appealing. Especially when it has a price tag of just $150.

A fair warning though, expect your Gear to stand out if you partake in this sale. The special price applies only to the beige, orange, green, and gold models of the Gear. Inconspicuous gray and black still remain at their everyday prices of $249.

Remember, this deal is today only and if you’ve been considering the Gear, this is probably the best opportunity to jump on it. If you do decide to pick up a Gear for yourself or even for a loved one, let us know how you’re liking it.

Are you thinking about taking this deal?

That’s not a bad price. Wish they opened up compatibility to more devices without all the hackery that is needed for non-samsung devices.

I guess Samsung is trying to get rid of inventory before the Galaxy Gear two is unveiled n a few weeks. Honestly, if I didn’t already own the Pebble, I would be driving over to my nearest Best Buy to pick one of these up right now.

It seems that bright colors are on sale, the gray and black one are still regular price.

I recently scoped em out. I’m digging the orange but not willing to spend more than $75 on a Smart watch. Cool features n all, but not $150 cool.

I bought the lime green but it looks more like a chartruse green to me.

Now I leave my phone in my purse or pocket just to answer a call.
