Bright Red Nexus 5 now available on the Play Store

Nexus 5 red Play Store

Nexus phones have historically been available in only basic colors. Remember the white Galaxy Nexus, and how long people were dreaming of a white Nexus 4? That was the case whe Google released the Nexus 5 last year, too, with black and white as the only color choices available to buyers. But then the rumors started surfacing.

Maybe there would be many colors for the Nexus 5 soon! No, that was just a bad Photoshop job. But the leak of the red Nexus 5 looked quite convincing. Then we saw it again and again. Finally, Google today released the Bright Red Nexus 5 on the Play Store for everyone to purchase!

I have to admit, Bright Red was an interesting choice on Google’s part, and very out of character for a Nexus device. It looks pretty nice, though, and comes with no price premium. If you want one, you can pick up a 16GB model for $349 and a 32GB model for $399. Hit the source link to check it out. Now that the Bright Red Nexus 5 is officially available, will you be getting one?

I’d buy one in puke green if it came with a 3000mah battery.

Looks like it would be the perfect scheme to match verizon and their droid branding… If only it came to verizon, we all know that will never happen.

Is the back cover on the red the same hard plastic material as the white one

This article makes me sad that Google sold Motorola. Good things were happening, now sone China company is going to screw it all up. Oh well, I still can upgrade to the Nexus 6 next year, I just wish they had a 6 inch edition

Hey so I know that the Google Play Nexus 5 is compatible with Verizon’s network, however does it truly work on Verizon or is some restriction from the carrier preventing it?
