HTC A5 (Desire 8?) specs leaked

HTC One

Famous leakster evleaks has graced us with the specifications of yet another HTC device, this time the HTC A5. Yes, we get to put the HTC M8 on the sidelines in the meantime. This HTC A5 looks to be the Desire 8 that was leaked earlier, which was a really nice looking phone. And now we know that it isn’t so bad internally, either.

The A5 will feature a 5.5-inch 720P SuperLCD 2 display, a quad core 1.6GHz Snapdragon MSM8928 (new Snapdragon 400), 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of storage with a microSD slot, a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, Sense 6.0 and dual BoomSound speakers. This is definitely pretty good for a mid-range device, though a 5.5-inch display with a 720p resolution yields only 267 pixels per inch.

The device is supposed to come in five colors when it launches: black, white, red, yellow and purple. For a device that doesn’t pretend to be similar to a flagship (like certain “mini flagship” devices), it’s an impressive smartphone. Hopefully the price will be low enough to justify it! What do you guys think?

What a great phone for a mid range. I would say its almost the same as the Note 2, but without an spen. It does have a pretty good camera also at 13mp. I wonder how much, if it was in the 300 range it should be a big seller. This phone is a really nice phonecwith 4 choices of colors, I am really impressed

I would have thought that something like this would have a screen size in the range of like 4.3″ or 4.7″

Really?? I am impressed by the screen size. Not too many mud range phablets but tons in that size to choose from

It sounds like they learned their lesson about excluding micro SD slots and I’m pleased to see they are now including them. But, perhaps, too late, since I like my Samsung phone more and more every day…

They haven’t learned their lesson. Even the M8 which isn’t even out yet doesnt have an sd card slot or removable battery. It is only becsuse this phone is an 8gb
