Motorola MWC 2014 press event happening Feb. 25

motorolamwcinvitationaam

Following Samsung’s announcement of its Unpacked 2014 Episode 1 event on Feb. 24, Motorola has revealed that it, too, will be throwing an MWC 2014 shindig. The company has sent out invitations for an event that’s taking place on Tuesday, Feb. 25, in Barcelona.

Motorola didn’t share many details about what it’s got planned for the event, but it did say that CEO Dennis Woodside will give an “update” on Moto’s business. Moto also teased that it’ll share more information about its plans as the event draws closer

We’ll just have to wait for Feb. 25 to roll around to find out whether or not Motorola’s got new hardware announcements or anything like that lined up for its MWC 2014 gathering. Even if it doesn’t, though, the event should still be an interesting one. After all, it will be taking place right around a month after Lenovo agreed to purchase Motorola from Google, and so I’m sure that that’ll be one of the topics of conversation.

Now that you’ve had around a week to digest it, what do you think of Lenovo’s purchase of Motorola? Are you excited to see what kinds of products the two companies produce?

Its stupid & a shame Motorola choose to release ONLY the 16gb version of the Moto X in Europe, 32GB would be mine if it was available. Lets hope Lenovo will concentrate more effect outside america than Motorola did.

I think this could be a time that they set the record straight and lay out the groundwork for things to come this year, and ease some of the tension and reservations some have to purchasing a moto product now that they are(will be) no longer a google company.

Hopefully all of what moto has been doing here lately continues to remain and Lenovo doesn’t try to “do too much” and mess things up.
