Samsung Level is a family of headphones and speakers that Sammy describes as a group of “premium mobile audio products.” The Level suite of hardware includes the Level Over over-ear headphones, Level On on-ear headphones, Level In in-ear headphones and the Level Box Bluetooth speaker. Some of the finer points of each device are:
- Level Over: 50mm Dynamic Driver made with Neodymium, which Samsung says can produce “deeper, more natural sound.” Hybrid-type active noise cancellation on the headphone and its mic. Samsung Level app with Samsung SoundAlive equalizer. Also includes premium carrying case and detachable audio cable.
- Level On: On-ear headphones with a “compact style and superior comfort.” Includes 40mm dual-layered diaphragm, premium carrying case and detachable audio cable.
- Level In: Three-way speaker system to provide low, mid and high sound. Comes with premium carrying case, 4 silicon ear tips and 3 memory foam tips.
- Level Box: 56mm stereo speaker, NFC and Bluetooth pairing and built-in microphone for phone calls. Rechargeable battery provides up to 15 hours of playback.
As you can see above, each Level device will be available in both black and white color options. Samsung says that they’ll be available starting in mid-May.
Samsung has shown in the past that it’s not afraid to release all types of products to see what sticks. The original Galaxy Note is a good example of this, as is the recent string of Gear wearables that’ve come to market.
Now Samsung is branching out into the premium mobile audio market, and while we’ll have to wait until next month to see just how these Level devices perform, the fact that Samsung’s name is attached to them could certainly help to draw consumers’ attention to them over other, less mainstream brands.
What do you think of these Samsung Level audio products? Will you check them out when they land next month?
