Hot on the heels of its announcement of its new G Pad family of tablets, LG has taken to YouTube to tease another one of its upcoming Android products.
A new promo video posted to the official LG Mobile YouTube account highlights several of the G Watch’s features, including its metal construction and waterproof body. The full list of features named off by LG in this clip are:
- “LG defines the smartwatch”
- “Compatible with Android”
- “Sleek and lightweight for all-day comfort”
- “Metal body for a timeless look”
- “Ready for anything, anytime with a single charge”
- “Waterproof for your outdoor activities”
LG hasn’t gotten into specifics about the G Watch’s hardware, but it has said that the wearable will launch in the second quarter. Pricing information for the G Watch is also still up in the air, but right now it’s expected that the price could come in at around $300.
While there’s still a lot we don’t know about the LG G Watch, the fact that it’ll be one of the very first Android Wear-powered devices on the market means that it’ll likely get a lot of attention when it hits store shelves. The good news is that so long as LG can stick to its estimated Q2 launch, it won’t be too much longer before we’re able to strap this thing onto our own wrist and give it a go.
