Verizon DROID RAZR HD getting Android 4.4.2 KitKat soak test

The Motorola DROID RAZR HD came out more than a year and a half ago, back when dual-core processors and 720p displays were considered high-end. It hasn’t been left behind, though, because Motorola continues to support it. The latest news is that the DROID RAZR HD’s soak test for KitKat has been released to those who signed up to preview updates.

For those that have already signed up, the update is now going out and should bring your device to the newest version of Android . There aren’t many details available, but the performance boost from KitKat should be incentive enough.

If you’re not a tester, you’ll have to wait for the update to go out officially. There is no set date on which that’ll, but with the soak test already out, it shouldn’t be too much longer. And if you like to live dangerously, you can sideload the update, which has been captured by an XDA user. How many of you still use the DROID RAZR HD as your daily? Leave a comment!
