We’re already expecting to see a new Moto X and Moto G along with some Moto 360 launch info at Motorola’s September 4 event, but now it looks like Moto might have a new accessory for us there as well.

The FCC has revealed a new version of the Motorola Skip. The original Skip is an NFC-based clip that attaches to a piece of clothing and can unlock your PIN-protected Moto X with a tap. This new Bluetooth model looks more like a triangular key fob that can be attached to a keyring or similar object.

The user manual for the new Motorola Skip shows that it’ll be compatible with phones running Android 4.3 or higher. After using a Moto app to connect the two devices, users will be able to locate their phone with the Skip or locate their Skip with the paired phone. As with the original Skip, you can also use this new model to quickly unlock your handset.

There’s no word on how much this new Motorola Skip might cost, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it were around the same price as the original model, with was $20. Stay tuned, because it’s likely that all of the details on this new Skip will be revealed next week.
