Samsung Galaxy Note 4 leaks in new photo ahead of IFA debut

Samsung Logo 2

Samsung’s widely-anticipated Galaxy Note 4 has leaked in a new photo before its debut next month. Most Samsung devices leak extravagantly before their release, but the Galaxy Note 4 has been kept surprisingly quiet. As we edge nearer to the launch date, things are bound to crop up, like this latest photo that reveals what the Galaxy Note 4 looks like. Looking at the photo below, we can see that the Galaxy Note 4 takes queues from both its predecessor as well as the rumored Samsung Galaxy Alpha.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4

The Galaxy Note 4 looks to have a more squared design than previous Note devices. The front is pretty standard Samsung with a physical home button and two capacitative buttons on either side. Of note are the tiny bezels on this device, showing that Samsung worked to maximize display space. Whether the display is larger or the phone is smaller, we don’t know, but it looks to be an improvement over the Galaxy S5, which had larger bezels than many hoped for.

Moving around to the back and sides, we can see that Galaxy Note 4 appears to have metal trim around the sides, similar to the rumored Galaxy Alpha. The back, however, is signature Galaxy Note, with the faux leather that Samsung used on the Galaxy Note 3. This time around, the faux leather looks to have a bit more texture, possibly for better grip of the device. On the bottom left, we can see a speaker and the S Pen that comes with all Galaxy Note devices. Up by the camera, we can see what appears to be a heart rate sensor, as has become standard on high-end Samsung devices. The Galaxy Note 4 should launch on September 3, with a public release following within a couple of weeks.

Just when this popped up in my in box I was doing a search on the Note 4. That back is nice. And those thin bezels. Back to the GS4. I was about to get a GS5 today. But now I might wait.

Honestly, not a fan of the back. I thought it was a textured plastic but I guess it is a faux leather again.

      • Dirty Budha

Slap a case on it and it won’t matter.

        • http://www.infotainmentempire.com pekosROB

True. I wonder though how comfortable the phone will be in the case. And by comfort I mean fit and finish if the back were really plastic with shit burned in for a textured look.

Truthfully It’s always been pretty clear and simple NOTHING beats SAMSUNG or the GALAXY NOTE products they are android nothing else matters. This will be a day one purchase just as well as the Galaxy Gear 2 Solo Wrist communicator and the Galaxy Tab S LTE tablet.

All of this will be added to my already large collection of Samsung products. My Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2, and current Galaxy Note 3. It’s a wonderful way to end the 2014 year. Let the haters hate while I bask in the glory of Samsung products.

Go rot in Samsungs over packed refrigerator.. I’m sure you will make a nice edition to their list of fan boys that give that rotten tomato like smell in that ice box of theirs packed with an abundance of their products.. You talk to much crap Richard that if it were up to me your would be banned from every tech site in the world.. You make us veterans ashamed that you have been a member talking nothing but stupid retarded crap since the minute you took up precious space and spread your disease like nonsense posts beneath our eyes.. Please leave and never come back…

Fuck that rectum pecosROB he’s a androidandme dick head.

Yes, resort to childish name calling when you have nothing better/intelligent to say. You sound just like an 8 year old.

      • BlazeHN

Nothing beats Galaxy Note phanblets, true. Not the same story for the Galaxy S and other devices and products.

      • snowbdr89

Dick your an embarrassment to the android society and well society in general!! Your proof why some people should not have kids.

        • Richard Yarrell

Good old snowbdr89 the same old same old from you for years. You are a typical cock and silly asshole.

I enjoy laughing at you yearly. Where’s your asshole friend Squiddy20 he’s another fuck face.

You assholes couldn’t afford a Galaxy Note product if you tried.

          • squiddy20

Ummm, most Note devices are subsidized by the carriers, so they come in at no more than $400,and that’s stretching it. Good try though.
And what’s with all the childish name calling? Is it really so hard for you to come up with a logical, we’ll thought out response that you have to resort to the level of a 4th grader? Go get an education.

  • Dirty Budha

    Dat bezel!!

  • Des

    the wait is/was worth it.

  • BlazeHN

To be honest, I like the back of the Note 3 more, with that sexy thread on leather like borders, still looking good. As expected there is no Menu button which got replaced by the recent apps button (I dont like that, you have to hold it for menu right? can be set to oposite on S5?). I really hope the phone is no bigger than the Note 3.

    • namesib

If you’re rooted you can change the button back to menu (an Xposed module).

      • BlazeHN

Thanks, I was hoping that would be possible :)

  • charlie88

Samsung: perpetuating bad choices and bad taste. We finally get metal and it’s still ugly.

To each their own I guess.

  • Jay Moore

I don’t know about you guys, but I am getting so tired of people judging a smartphone by how it looks. I’ll take function over form any day of the week!

As for the Note 4, I can’t wait! I’ll be placing my Note 3 on Craigslist real soon.

    • BlazeHN

Its a balance bro, I put specs on top priority too at the end of the day, but that doesn’t means your device cant look good too.

    • Tito

You should take a nap, if you’re tired..

    • snowbdr89

Function? Touch wiz is non functional

  • Deke218

I’m not going to judge the phone by these pictures – although i like the look so far. I purchased the Note 2 and 3 on 80% what it can do and 20% what it looked like. I’ll judge this one on the same.

  • Tayfun

It be must 4 gb ram

    • SGB101

Is that a sign to how bloated TW will be?

  • BlazeHN

Guys have you noticed there is no door on the charging port like the S5? Could that mean the Note 4 WONT be water resistant? That would be terrible as water resistance its a veeeery strong point for me on deciding which phone I will buy at the end of this year when I change from my Note 3. I really want the Note 4 but if for some random reason they skiped the water resistance on it… sadly I would have to move to the Z2/Z3 or S5 =( Hope I’am wrong on that.

  • Rising36

Thats why theres waterproof cases. Like the Ghostek waterproof case for the Note 3. Nice case and slim profile. Not advertising this product but putting things in perspective. Waterproofing phones is more marketing then actual need. When the need outweighs the marketing then companies will find some other gimmick to add to ur future phone, and then Ill be seeing this guy saying the same thing about the next phone BlazeHN is gonna get lol. Anyways waterproofing isnt a standard and its kinda annoying those little flaps are lol. My opinion though. I agree with Deke218, function and performance over beauty.

    • BlazeHN

Actually I find my self needing water resistance way often, but I dont like ugly thick cases that would make my Note even bigger than already is. My S4 died by a water accident and i have a pool in the backyard, i would love to have my phone around there instead of placing it waaaay far on a dry place unable to answer it and stuff.

      • BlazeHN

Water resistance its one of the few features that I dont see as a marketing gimmick from the tons of gimmicks samsung gives (finger scanner is one IMO) but as an actually real world use feature.

  • Rising36

Id like to add that its a little too squared and the design of the camera follows suit which adds to the (squareness). Not an actual word lol. The metal trim though :-|)…… the front is typical samsung design and the button looks a bit better with the more square design. Looks good all in all. But whose to know what the final product will look like. For all we know they might have a back up design in case they happen to see our comments and decide to change it up. So peopel what would u guys like to see incorporated in the design of the note 4?

  • dee

Where is I’m still going to buy a Note 4 but I was hoping to see that curved screen design they mentioned before.

  • Richard Yarrell

I’m a android Institution that will always be. People better get use to it.

    • squiddy20

You clearly don’t know the meaning of the word “institution”… Good job Richard, you’ve just proved that you have the vocabulary of an elementary schooler.

  • jerrbomb

No one is hiding.. In fact I’ll put my picture up if you like and tell you where I’m at.. Half the crap you talk about is simply crap.. If you would balance your Samsung fancy self and give credit to Android as a whole you wouldn’t get so much flak from every one.. And you know I’m right..

  • http://www.infotainmentempire.com pekosROB

He has a point. We all know you love Samsung. Jesus Christ almighty.

I mean no one, not even Apple fanboys, speak of anything with as much adulation as you do with Samsung. It is strange, creepy, and just plain annoying at times.
