Motorola is hosting an event today to show off some new products, but the world won’t get to see them until tomorrow. Why the company couldn’t hold a public event we don’t know, but we have leaks to keep us happy while we wait for official information.
The latest leak is a video on the new Moto G, occasionally called the Moto G2. This was mistakenly uploaded by Brazilian retailer Lojas Colombo to YouTube and taken down soon after, but of course someone reuploaded it. It shows the device off with a few specs that we already knew from previous leaks, so there are no surprises here.
The specs are a 5-inch HD display (which probably means 720p), a quad core Snapdragon processor, an 8MP camera, dual SIM slots, customizable backplates, and a wide angle front facing camera. No LTE can be found on this model. This is the description of the now deleted video translated into English:
The G2 Moto DTV Colors is the new smartphone from Motorola that came to complete your day to day, with technology, ease and style. With Quad-Core Processor and Android 4.4, you access to thousands of applications with optimal performance. The 8-megapixel camera with LED Flash will record all moments with much more quality. And yet, the Moto G2 offers Digital TV HD on a 5 inch screen. In addition, Motorola has the Assist service, you know when you can not be interrupted, such as during your sleep or a meeting. So, you can schedule actions and exceptions so that it behaves the way you want. The Moto G Second Generation is the best partner for you to get organized and stay connected.
Also leaked were a few photos of the device and its backplates, showing off the stereo speakers on the front. Check them out and let us know what you think!
