New Android statue lumbers onto Google’s lawn with lollipop in hand

With past Android releases, Google has added a big statue to its front lawn to celebrate. For example, a gingerbread man stumbled onto the lawn in 2010, and a bowl of jelly beans spilled over in 2012. Today Google officially detailed Android 5.0 Lollipop, and so Google continued its statue-building tradition.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop has officially arrived at the Googleplex. Rather than taking the form of a lollipop shaped like a bugdroid, the statue is simply of our favorite green robot flashing the peace sign and holding a gigantic lollipop.

As a quick refresher, Android 5.0 Lollipop includes a ton of new features like Material Design, new notification controls, a battery saver feature, updated quick settings and more. You can find a full rundown of Android 5.0’s goodies right here.

What’s your favorite feature of Android 5.0 Lollipop?
