Nokia HERE Maps now available on the Play Store in beta form

Nokia HERE Maps beta

While Nokia hasn’t historically shown much support for the Android platform, it looks like the company is giving our OS another chance. Which is fair, we’re #1. Nokia has released its maps app on the Play Store, called HERE Beta, and you can give it a shot right now!

One major feature that’s missing in Google Maps is an easy way to save maps for offline use and use of those offline maps in navigation. Nokia HERE is available offline, so you can navigate and even find points of interest without an internet connection. That’s a huge feature, so the app is¬†already worth a try.

The app supports 118 countries, though not all will have full navigation support. If you want to give it a shot, hit the source link to download the app from the Play Store. And tell us what you think! I’ve been sick of Google Maps lagging constantly, so I’ll be giving it a shot myself.
