Samsung Galaxy S4 GPe now being updated to Lollipop

If you’re still rocking a Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play edition, your weekend is about to get a lot better.

Samsung is now pushing Android 5.0 Lollipop to the Galaxy S4 Google Play edition. The update weighs in at 491.5MB and bumps the GS4 GPe up to Android 5.0.0, not Android 5.0.1.

The GS4 GPe is one of the oldest Google Play edition phones around, and while it’s not exactly shocking to see it get bumped up to Lollipop, it’s still awesome to see this device move to Android 5.0. The update is being pushed out over the air, so you can check for it by heading into Settings > About phone > System update. If you don’t feel like waiting for the OTA update, the folks at Android Police have a ZIP file that’s ready for your sideloading pleasure.
