AT&T HTC One (M8) update will add more features than originally expected

Remember that AT&T HTC One (M8) update that we heard about earlier this week? Well, we’ve got some bad news and some good news about it. The bad news is that it doesn’t appear to be rolling out quite yet. The good news? It’ll come with even more goodies than we initially thought.

HTC exec Mo Versi has said that the AT&T HTC One (M8)’s update has received technical approval and that it’s now slated to begin rolling out over the air “early next week”. In addition to the bump to Android 4.4.4 and HD Voice, Versi says that the update will bring HTC’s Eye Experience, which wasn’t included in AT&T’s original update announcement. The Eye Experience includes a group of camera features that can help create interesting front/back photos, make it easier to take selfies and more.

AT&T previously said that this update includes a Bluetooth enhancement, updated Visual Voicemail, and improved battery performance. All in all it sounds like this is a pretty spiffy update, and you AT&T One (M8) folk are just a few days away from it.
