Kazam has announced six new budget Android phones that it’s bringing to the European market. If the name doesn’t seem familiar, we can’t blame you. Kazam is a new smartphone company founded by ex-HTC executives. The company’s focus has been on Europe, where Kazam has been battling for the budget smartphone market. Now the company is back with six new Android phones that will continue to fight that fight.

All of the phones are from Kazam’s Trooper range and while they share some similarities, they also differ. Check out the list below for a specs rundown:

  • Kazam Trooper 440L: 4-inch WVGA (480×800) display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB storageplus microSD card slot, 2-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 1650mAh battery and 4G LTE support
  • Kazam Trooper 445L: 4.5-inch WVGA (480×800) display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage plus microSD card slot, 5-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 1980mAh battery and 4G LTE support
  • Kazam Trooper 450: 5-inch 480×854 display, 1.3GHz quad-core procesor, 512MB RAM, 5GB storage (2.3GB usable) plus microSD card slot, 5-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera and 2000mAh battery
  • Kazam Trooper 450L: 5-inch 480×854 display, 1,2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage plus microSD card slot, 5-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 2000mAh battery and 4G LTE support
  • Kazam Trooper 451: 5-inch 480×854 display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage plus microSD card slot, 5-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 1800mAh battery and dual SIM card slots
  • Kazam Trooper  455: 5.5-inch 480×854 display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage plus microSD card slot, 5-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 2800mAh battery and dual SIM card slots

Kazam’s phones are clearly designed for the budget market, and some of them have specs that make us cringe. A 5.5-inch display with a WVGA resolution is almost painful to think about, let alone look at. Nonetheless, the company has found some success with its devices, primarily because of the additional services that it sells with them. All of the Kazam smartphones listed above include a free cracked screen replacement, 3-year warranty and Kazam Rescue, which is a service similar to Amazon’s Mayday feature. It allows you to contact a Kazam representative if your phone has a problem and they can actually access your device remotely to fix software problems.

Show Press Release
London, February 24th 2015 – KAZAM, European mobile brand, today announces the launch of its latest phones and tablets in the build up to Mobile World Congress.

New KAZAM Trooper range

KAZAM is introducing six new models to its volume selling Trooper range. The addition of an entry level LTE phone will drive further sales, particularly in regions that have adopted the technology at a faster rate than expected. The Trooper range has always been about smart phones, at smarter prices, and the KAZAM Trooper 445L does not disappoint. The 4.5-inch quad-core smartphone boasts the latest 4G/LTE technology, in a sleek brushed metal-effect design, making it a complete all-rounder. When combined with KAZAM’s trademark proposition (Free Screen Protection for 12 months, KAZAM Rescue and 3 year warranty), it makes the Trooper range hard to beat in value. Additional models in the range also include the KAZAM Trooper 440L, 450, 451, 450L and 455.

Michael Coombes, KAZAM CEO commented, “As a dedicated European mobile brand, KAZAM has responded to the demand for choice at every level. Today’s announcement further demonstrates our commitment to the market, innovating in areas often overlooked.”
