The One (M8) from HTC has seen its fair share of Android 5.0 Lollipop love as of late, so long as you’re an owner of the Developer Edition, the unlocked variant, or have the handset under Sprint’s or T-Mobile’s network. For owners of the Verizon variant, though, the wait may be dragging on.
Luckily, according to a new report, that wait may be coming to an end. Mo Versi, HTC’s Vice President of Product Management, has revealed that One (M8) adorned with Verizon’s branding has its Android 5.0 Lollipop update “in the lab” right now, and that it is expected to have its stamp of approval processed within the first week of March. If all goes according to plan, then that means the official update should begin a day or two after that.
This is just the final step in the process of preparing the update for release, of course. The update could not get approved by Big Red, which would further the delay the rollout. However, HTC seems at least confident in the chances. If you own a Verizon One (M8), are you excited for the upcoming update?
