Android 5.1 factory images for three Nexus devices now available

If you’re itching to try the newly-announced Android 5.1 and you’ve got a Nexus 5, Nexus 7 [2012], or Nexus 10, you can do so right now.

Google has uploaded the factory images for the Nexus 5, Nexus 7 (Wi-Fi) [2012], and the Nexus 10. All three images are build LMY47D.

We should start to see Android 5.1 begin rolling out over the air in the coming days, but if you like to be among the first with new software, you can flash these factory images onto your Nexus devices. All of your data on your phone or tablet will be wiped when you do, but hey, that may be a small price to pay to be one of the first with an Android 5.1-powered Nexus device.

Lollipop is nothing but a few steps back, Google is completely destroying Android and its ergonomics. Probably a monkey is the leader of Android because Android is becoming another iOS limited system so we wont need Android any more soon.

I am surprised about the view expressed on Lollipop. It is a step in the right direction to move forward.
