Google adds support for viewing My Maps within Google Maps

Google has announced that Google Maps for Android now supports viewing and use of My Maps within Google Maps. My Maps is a Google creation that allows you to create, share and view custom maps that you or others have created. The feature has been extremely handy to many, but for years, maps created in My Maps haven’t been available to be viewed or used in Google Maps, making it much less useful.

Google is now adding support for My Maps within the Google Maps Android app. Users can view maps and even use them with info and turn-by-turn navigation, creating an incredibly helpful tool. While you still can’t create maps in Google Maps, you’ll need to use the My Maps app for that, it allows you to use those maps in a much easier way, and one that will likely help many people with directions.
