HTC Uh-Oh replacement service details leak ahead of tomorrow’s event

If you’re wondering what HTC’s got planned for its “BIG announcement” tomorrow, well, the rumor mill might have just spilled some of the details.

According to Android Central, HTC Uh-Oh is a new service that’ll offer one year of protection with a new device. That’ll include a screen replacement, water damage, and even a replacement device if you switch carriers. HTC’s already got a replacement program in HTC Advantage, but that service only covers broken glass and is only good for six months.

HTC Uh-Oh will also reportedly offer a trade-in program. The buyback service may get you $100 toward the purchase of a brand new One. Unfortunately, those are the only details of that part of HTC Uh-Oh that are available now.

So far, HTC Uh-Oh sounds like a nice improvement to HTC Advantage. Not only does it offer a longer replacement period, but it also covers more stuff. The carrier change replacement in particular is interesting since just about every carrier around is trying to get you to switch by paying your ETFs.

HTC’s big announcement will go down tomorrow, March 18, at 9:00 am PT/12:00 pm ET.
