There’s a new highly-inexpensive smartphone manufacturer hitting the market today with a rather impressive debut entry. Starting today, you can buy the Icon Q Q5.5 directly from the Icon Q website for just $199.

Dubbed the “travel super phone,” the Icon Q Q5.5 is a completely unlocked, contract-free device with reasonable specs priced at what most major manufacturers charge for their flagship handsets with a two-year contract. The 5.5 in the Q5.5′s name stands for the handset’s 5.5-inch display, which comes in at 720p HD. The rest of the device comes with a Mediatek octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, a 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front-facing camera and Android 4.4. The Q5.5 also has two SIM slots and is compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile in the US. Design-wise, the Q5.5 is rather minimal with no branding on the front of the device and matte white finish on the battery door.

At just $199, the Q5.5 will compete against devices like the Moto G, which has made quite a name for itself as one of the best budget Android phones you can buy. For more details on the Icon Q Q5.5, head on over to the Icon Q webstore here. And don’t forget to check out the video below.
