Google puts the Moto 360 on sale for $165

Google has put the Moto 360 on sale for just $165 on the Google Store. That’s a huge savings of $85, down from $249.99. The deal from Google come just days after Amazon hosted a sale on the Moto 360, indicating that a second version could be coming soon and Motorola is working to clear out old inventory. There’s no word on whether this price drop is a temporary sale or permanent, though with both Best Buy and Amazon slashing prices, it’s likely a permanent price drop, again indicating that new version is drawing near.

As for what the new version will be like, much of that is still up in the air. From what we do know, it seems that there will now be two sizes of the Moto 360, as well as a minor change to the case of the watch. Photos of prototypes have showed the “flat tire” bezel beneath the screen, but that could disappear in the production model. The second gen Moto 360 should be announced soon, so stay tuned for all the details and coverage.
