Verizon is now updating the LG G3 to Lollipop

At long last, Verizon is pushing out an update for the LG G3 that brings the phone’s software up to Android 5.0 Lollipop. After it released Lollipop for the LG G2 a couple of weeks ago, Verizon found itself swarmed by aggravated G3 owners who hadn’t yet received their Lollipop update. After an extra two weeks of waiting, LG G3 owners on Verizon can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the carrier has begun to update the device to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The LG G3 was arguably the best Android phone of 2014, and plenty of people purchased one. While LG was incredibly quick in updating the G3 to Lollipop, carrier delays have made this one of the longest waits for Lollipop on a flagship. Fortunately, the wait is over for Verizon customers. The update is rolling out now, though it’s likely coming in stages, meaning that you shouldn’t be surprised if you don’t see it for a few days.

As always, feel free to drop a comment when you receive the update!
