Second gen Moto E 4G LTE getting Android 5.1 update

If you’re the owner of a second generation Moto E 4G LTE, you’re in luck, because the company is rolling out the Android 5.1 update! Note that this applies only to the 4G LTE models, and potentially only to the XT1527 model. But with any model, check for updates and see if you get it!

The update brings the latest version of Android, 5.1 Lollipop. There are quite a few tweaks to look forward to. Swiping up a heads up notification no longer clears it from the notification panel, WiFi and Bluetooth tiles now have drop downs to change between devices, and more. Plus there are quite a few fixes included. Hit the source link for a full list of changes.

If you don’t see the update on your device yet, you may have to wait until it rolls out to everyone. Hopefully it’ll reach more devices soon!
