Google+ Photos Android app being shut down August 1

With the release of the standalone Google Photos app, Google+ Photos no longer has much of a use. The only thing it really does is hold people back from using the new service, since those who don’t know about it won’t be switching. This has caused Google to announce the shutdown of the old service.

Come August 1st, Google+ Photos for Android will be shut down, with the web and iOS apps following soon after. Thankfully, the switch to Google Photos will be seamless. Download the new app and all of your photos will be there. Easy transition, good on Google!

Hit the Play Store link to get the new Google Photos app, I think you may enjoy it. It’s a great app.
