We’re midway through summer and the time is coming for Motorola to release a couple of new smartphones, including the mid-range Moto G. This latest iteration of the Moto G has been rumored to feature very few spec upgrades over the previous model, leaving many disappointed. But now a new photo reveals that it may have a different stand-out feature coming in the way of Moto Maker support, allowing customers to design their own Moto G with just the right color scheme.
The photo comes courtesy of @evleaks, so it’s likely for real. In it, we can see multiple Moto Gs all with different colored rear shells, metal accent pieces and even a choice of black or white for the glass on the front. Moto Maker has previously been confined to the high-end Moto X, so it’s interesting to see that Motorola is bringing it to the mid-range Moto G. There’s no word on whether or not Moto Maker will cost extra for the Moto G, or whether it will carry additional material options for the rear shell like the Moto X.
We’ll be sure to keep you posted on all the rumors and news surrounding the upcoming Moto G.
