Telus points to October 5 as rollout date for Android 6.0

Android 6.0 Marshmallow doesn’t have an official launch date just yet, but if we want to take the word of the second largest wireless carrier in Canada, you might want to prepare to circle a date on the calendar.

According to an updated software release schedule, Telus says that Android 6.0 will begin rolling out to the current Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 on Monday, October 6. As it stands, nothing is official just yet, but as Mobile Syrup points out, that particular release schedule would make sense. We already expect Google to unveil the new Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P on September 29, so rolling out Android 6.0 a week later for current devices would make sense.

So if you have a Nexus 5 or Nexus 6, then there’s a date to look forward to, even if Telus does admit that dates are subject to change.
