Samsung is no stranger to mini versions of its flagships, but their specs are mid-range at best. Apparently putting “mini” after the name of a high-end device means you need to use lower-end specs. Unfortunately, this means finding a high-end device in a small form factor is difficult, but that may soon change when it comes to Samsung.
It’s rumored that Samsung will be releasing a Galaxy S7 mini that will feature the same processor as its full-sized sibling. The rumor says it’ll feature either a Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 12MP camera, and a 4.6-inch display with a 720p resolution.
These specs are really nice, other than the screen resolution (1080p would be nice) and will make for a good smaller phone for those who still want high-end performance. Hopefully the rumor ends up being true, because there aren’t enough mini flagships on the market.
