Truecaller discovers and fixes exploit in app, recommends you update

Truecaller, the awesome caller ID app that let’s you know who’s calling and even warns you of spam calls, discovered an exploit in its app. The exploit allowed someone with your IMEI number to get personal information remotely. The company patched the exploit, and says that no information has been compromised.

Truecaller recommends you update the app in the Play Store to receive the fix, since until then your device is vulnerable. But the exploit isn’t a particularly bad one, requiring your IMEI and revealing only basic info, so there’s nothing to worry about. Open up the Play Store and update the Truecaller app to get the fix!
