FCC listing confirms BlackBerry using Alcatel parent company to manufacture new device

We’ve seen some info that suggests that an upcoming BlackBerry devices will not be manufactured by BlackBerry itself, and a new FCC listing has confirmed this.

Codenamed Neon, the device will be manufactured by TCL Communications, which is the parent company of Alcatel. The device also shares specs with the Alcatel Idol 4, like a 2,610mAh battery.

Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long for more official information. BlackBerry CEO John Chen said that there will be more info next week, so we’ll find out then. Hopefully the upcoming BlackBerry devices will be released soon!
