While Google isn’t officially announcing a date to circle on the calendar just yet, there is good news for folks who are eagerly awaiting the mobile platform’s arrival. Android Police is reporting that, based on emails sent to Google Play developers, Android Wear 2.0 is set to arrive “in early February 2017.”
The email is a general upkeep notification, informing developers that they will need to update their apps where necessary, including those developers that have apps running embedded APK mechanisms that are not supported by Android Wear 2.0. The email also notifies the developer that Android Wear 2.0 supports the Play Store right on the watch itself.
Google has already confirmed that it plans on launching a pair of flagship smartwatches that will feature Android Wear 2.0 right out of the box, but there’s no telling on when those will be unveiled.
Are you looking forward to Android Wear 2.0′s arrival?
