Verizon has announced the Kyocera DuraForce PRO, a rugged mid-range smartphone with a surprising feature. The display is covered in a sheet of sapphire crystal, which is tough stuff.
The device is MIL-STD 810G certified for ruggedness, IP68 certified water resistant, and even certified for hazardous locations for work. And with that sapphire display, it’s going to withstand abuse on the job.
Other features include a 5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 617 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of memory with a microSD slot, a 3240 mAh battery, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It costs $17 a month for 24 months, or $408 full price. Let us know what you think!
