We launched the Android Events Calendar back in November and it started filling up over the last few months. If you are a hardcore Android nerd, you can easily subscribe to the Google calendar and get all the latest event updates directly on your phone (see original post for instructions). The calendar covers all Android related invents including podcasts, meetups, trade shows, earnings calls, product launch dates, and more.

Android events for February

AndroidGuys weekly podcast: The AndroidGuys podcast is still broadcast live every Monday night at 10:30 EST. The podcast is hosted by Scott Webster of AndroidGuys.com and a collection of other guys (and gals) from Androinica.com, HTCSource.com, TmoNews.com, and a few others. I try to join the show as often as possible and we always have a great time.

Tune in live and join our chatroom or subscribe to the show on your Android phone with Google Listen. The next show is tonight!

Android Developer Labs: Google will host a series of developer labs all over the world in February and March. The events are designed so that developers can hear about the state of the Android platform, get hands-on with the latest version of the SDK, meet like-minded Android engineers, play with the latest Android devices, test their apps, and ask questions directly to Android team members.

We will be attending the Austin, TX lab on February 4 so let us know if you are going.

Mobile World Congress: This is one of the largest global conferences for mobile technology and business. We expect to see a number of new Android phones announced from HTC, Motorola, Samsung, and more. Our sister site And.roid.es will be providing coverage in Spanish and hopefully some videos in English for our readers.

Android Developers on IRC: Some of the Android engineers still join IRC every Thursday night to answer your development questions. Please post your questions on Stack Overflow with “from-irc” tag in addition to “android” tag one day before office hours. They will follow up on those specific questions during office hours, and will also post answers after.

FOSDEM 2010: Developer-oriented Free and Opensource conference in Europe, is taking place in Brussels, Belgium on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 February 2010. Apart from having many invited speakers, the conference offers developer rooms, stands and lightning talks to projects from the Free and Opensource community. This results in a staggering number of 250+ lectures!

Add your events

Please leave a comment on the Android Events Calendar page if you have an event that you would like added.
