At the Verizon Wireless press event, Samsung announced the unnamed 4G LTE Smartphone, which will be landing on Verizon’s 4G LTE network sometime in the first half of 2011. Samsung’s entry into the explosion of 4G LTE phones includes the following:

One of the more low-key announcements that came out of the Verizon 4G LTE conference was that in the first half of 2011, Samsung and Verizon will be launching a new version of the Galaxy Tab.
The updated Galaxy Tab will feature 4G LTE connectivity, and a 1.2 GHz Hummingbird processor.
At this morning’s CES keynote, Motorola Mobility CEO Sanjay Jha announced that the hotly-anticipated Motorola Xoom tablet will be released sometime in February, probably on or around the 14th.

At CES yesterday, Motorola and T-mobile announced the Cliq 2, a Froyo-toting QWERTY slider aimed at business/enterprise users. The Cliq 2 has a targeted release date of January 19th. No word yet on the pricing, but it will probably fall in the $150-$200 range.

This week Samsung finally announced the availability of the long-awaited WiFi-only Galaxy Tab. Best Buy accidentally advertised a WiFi-only version of the Tab last year for $499, but then fessed up that it was a mistake and the release date had been pushed back.
