We all know by now that the Motorola CLIQ (and CLIQ XT) will receive Android 2.1, but the real question is when? Motorola published an official chart listing all their Android devices and the timelines for Android upgrades, but no first-gen phones have received Android 2.1 yet.

Even though most of their phones are still stuck on Android 1.5, we have to give Motorola some credit for their flow of updates to their T-Mobile lineup. The original CLIQ has received four updates since its release and now the CLIQ XT gets its first update.
Launching later this month, the Motorola CLIQ XT is the newest Android device from T-Mobile. This phone features many similarities of the original Motorola CLIQ, but there are some notable differences. Has Motorola made enough improvements over the original CLIQ to win us over?
