So many of you may have seen this already, but a Chinese startup just released an installable version of Android 4.0 for your Windows 7 or 8 machine. Supposedly it uses the existing processor, ram, and some video capabilities from your computer without limiting it down like a Virtual Machine.
The Google Play store is not available on it natively because it doesn’t recognize your computer as acceptable hardware, but you can side load it using the Play APK. Also, any apps you already have can be side loaded onto the OS.
I got this to download, install, and run successfully on my computer and just poked around for about 30 minutes. I am yet to load Play store or any other APKs. Also, I am yet to see where you can attach your Gmail account to the OS. This runs in its own window on the computer and it very quick.
I hope this really catches on so some development can start happening on the PC/Android front.
Anyone else start playing with this yet? I look forward to messing around more and seeing what I can do with it.
