Best looking Android app?

The other day I stumbled across this awesome site chronicling the best Android UI/UX design, and I figured we should make our own list.

What are some of your favorite looking Android apps?

This is by no means a final list, but here are a few that have been wowing me lately:

Also, in making this list, I realized that a lot of my most-used Android apps still have a long way to go. And it made me appreciate how much time we put into making Photobooth a little bit prettier.

I think Foursquare is one of the better looking apps on Android – they took a simple tabbed design and made some nice changes to brand it as its own. Although it looks similar to the iPhone app there are definitely some differences on Android that I like and make it its own.

Also there is 1Weather – my favorite weather app. This app is gorgeous and everything about it works very, very well even the Severe Weather alerts.

  Nice picks. I don’t use Foursquare often but it’s always been a fairly clean and well-organized app. I haven’t tried 1Weather yet but I’ve seen enough buzz that I guess it’s finally time to give it a try.

Can’t really think of many that have had a real “wow” factor. But here are a few that I really enjoy.

1. Currents
2. IMDB
3. Weather+ (has some of the most amazing animations, but no widgets)
4. Pulse News Reader

  Fancy is very attractive, but I’ve been using Svpply.com for so long that all I really want is for them to release an Android app. They’ve had an iPhone app for so damn long.

I was really pleased with the interface for MX Player https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mxtech.videoplayer.ad (they updated it a while ago). I think that it may be one of the prettiest video players on the market.

I think Rdio might be he best designed app on my phone. pixel perfect and adheres to the ics guidelines while still putting it’s own flavour in the design.

I love Any.do. I know the A&M guys like Tasks better, but I think Any.Do’s UI is simple, clean, easy to look at, and highly intuitive.

  I actually use Any.do as my to-dos manager. We just posted about Tasks recently because it was featured in our next install column of apps with less than 100k installs.

My Favorites would be:
Plume
Boid (as simple and stream lined as you can get)
Pulse

Foursquare is pretty clean, but i don’t use it enough to really judge it or compare to the IOS version. they are similar enough.

  It’s definitely starting to look like a very, very sharp app. It’s not quite what I had in mind when I first began designing it, but it’s very damn close, and very nicely integrated with the look of ICS.

Oh forgot about n7Player as well – a very neat music player interface that I personally love. Its my preferred choice for (local) music playing.
