Galaxy S3 – What rom are you running?

Posted Jul 29, 2012 at 11:23 pm in Threads > Smartphones & Tablets

I have spent the last week testing out several roms for my VZW SGS3. From JB roms to cleaned up stock roms. Over all I am loving this phone and the dev community that has come with it!

So lets here your thoughts and opinions on roms you have tried.

Currently running: Synergy on vzw SGS3 overall its super fast and reliable.

I am running stock, non-rooted. This is the first phone that I really haven’t felt the need to root and flash a rom because it is already so smooth and no real issues right out of the box. Now if some JB roms from samsung leak I may install one of those but for the time being stock is working for me.

I have a Gnex (I know not the S3) on VZW and until about a month ago was content with not rooting. Then the JB releases came out and I haven’t stopped flashing since. I am currently running a CM10 rom from Team Vicious. I am really enjoying it. Reminds me of the good ole days with my OG Droid flashing roms daily. :)

I think they dev community is alot better now then it was even a year ago. It sure seems the quality of roms and support you receive is way better now….. Not that is wasn’t before, just at a whole new level now.

Anyway, back to the actually question. I am sticking with CM due to all the good luck I had with them on my Droid. I don’t like to venture to far out incase something goes to terribly wrong. :)

So smooth right out of the box Im running it stock on Verizon. This version of software is a game changer. I came back from the Iphone because of it. Really glad I did.

I’m currently running a Jelly Bean AOKP Build for my Sprint SGSIII and I’m loving it. I have to admit though, I like the phone stock. Rooted of course ;-) I use APEX for the stock look but this phone is so fast and smooth that most ROMs don’t seem necessary.

Which cleaned up ROMs would you recommend?

does rooting A GNEX or S3 (verizon) allow one to change sim’s for use in europe
