Nexus ROM suggestions

Alright, so I’ve been using the (VZW G-Nex) Baseline 4.0.4 leak that came out a few months back, and I’m starting to think about moving up to another ROM entirely.

Currently, I’m looking at either CM9, or AOKP. Are there any other suggestions people would like to recommend? Completely open here.

AOKP all the way :D, have it on my i9100, its awesome!

I would recommend also AOKP for the ROM then replace the kernel with “leankernel”

I don’t have the galaxy nexus as a daily driver, I’ve set it up for my wife. AOKP allows you to customize alot of features including changing layouts of the buttons on the bottom and add nifty features such as built in weather notifications and being able to customize the lockscreen.

I highly recommend leankernel it offers alot of governors such as hotplugx and interactivex which turn off the second core when it’s not in use. It’s very stable and I haven’t had any hard crashes on it. The developer also includes undervolting, which takes time to find the right values but that i9250 just is a battery sipper. It literally lasts more than a day on a single charge. It’s overclocking features are comprehensive as well, some kernel builds can disable the throttling that goes on the CPU so you’ll be able to overclock beyond 1.35 GHZ. I’d manage to push mine to 1.5 something with a balance tradeoff on battery life.

So if your willing to tinker abit I’d suggest getting this combo.

One thing though there is an option to overclock the gpu upto 512 MHZ however due to bandwidth limitations you won’t get a much of performance increase.

Going the route of AOKP Milestone 5 this morning :) Thanks for the reinforcement, you 2 :)
