OG Transformer Jelly Bean Update?

Posted Dec 28, 2012 at 5:23 pm in Threads > Rumors

Has anyone heard when/if the original transformer will be updated to Jelly Bean? I know I could root and rom it but I want to just stick with manufacturer updates on this tablet merely out of laziness.
On a side note, how many of you are still rocking the good ol’ TF101? She’s been running just fine for me for a long while now.

I’m on an original Tegra tablet too, the Xoom. And that got stuck at 4.1.x officially. As they’re both Tegra 2 devices, i suspect the hardware won’t support some of the 4.2 features and that will likely be as far as official support can go.

No reliable word I’ve seen but I’d bet that Asus will give that much support sometime next year.

Still, I’d go with a community ROM now rather than wait. The developer community has been better for android than any OEM.

I gave my parents for them to rock it XDD It’s been a blast to have and hopefully they will enjoy it just as much.

Right now it’s running 4.1.1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1779133 RaymanFX’s build w/ the KatKernal 70 by timduru. I highly recommend it. The thing is so smooth now!!

I just installed Team EOS jelly bean on my Xoom this morning. Running well so far, but have heard it uses more battery. Not enough time with it yet to have an opinion.

Give a community ROM a go. Team EOS supports the TF101 as well.

I think I will go ahead and root/rom the tab. It’s been slowing down and I think some project butter would do it good.

Definitely burns more battery, about 4%/hour while “sleeping”. I put Juice Defender back on it to see if that can slow the leak.

Waiting on the update for my TF300T also…

Here’s the latest eos for TFT101.

I’m trying the latest for the Xoom that has a deeper tweaked gapps than before.
