[Opinion] Carrier/Manufacture Logos Are Killing Beautiful Phones

Looking at the reviews of the HTC 1 X for ATT today I noticed something. That damn carrier logo smak dab on the top center of that beautiful phone! Now I know this is a game changer for most of you, but I am one for aesthetics and to me this just kills any chance of this phone really looking beyond amazing imo.

As I sit here an glance down at my Droid X2 I notice both Verizon and Moto logo on the front and back of the phone. This to me is beyond overkill. Why do they feel the need for me to constantly see their logos? I know who my carrier is, and the manufacture of my phone.

I know this is mostly do to the carriers feeling the need to put their logos on the front of every phone. If Apple can get away with absolutely no carrier logos and their own logo plainly on the back then why cant other manufactures do the same?

At the end of the day its not a huge deal, just a minor detail. This minor detail could make any phone look so much better though. Take any phone for example and imagine it without any logos. Logos belong on the back of phones thats where other people will actually see the logo and possible become enticed to check it out themselves.

On a side note lets hop the rumored edge to edge screen designe of the Galaxy S III simply doesn’t have any room for samsung and carriers to slap their logos on the front of it.

What do you guys think, should manufactures wise up and do away with logos on the front of high end phones? Should they try to stop carriers form requiring to have their logo on there as well?
