Samsung GS4 or HTC M7?

The GS4 will be a beast, just like all new GS’s have been.
The latest rumors:
-pointing to a “unbreakable” SAMOLED screen
-Exynos 5440 chip

HTC phones always seems to be missing one thing. I have been from the EVO 4G -> EVO3D -> EVO 4G LTE but they have always left me wanting in one area or another.
The latest rumors:
-Could be first phone to use Tegra4!!!

    I Love HTC…HTC M7 will feature a Qualcomm APQ8064 quad-core processor, 5-inch HD screen,2 gb RAM, 13-megapixel camera and a unibody aluminium shell.

Spec wise they both match up very well:
-Both likely to get quad core SOCs
-Both will have 5″ 1080p screens (SAMOLED vs SLCD3)
      -Both will have 2GB ram
-Both are rumored to have a 13MP sensor

This may come down to looks/build, battery life, and storage.

+1 I think both phones will have the standard 2013 flagship specs. For me, the deal breaker is going to be which one has expandable storage and better battery life (or removable).

    What makes the screen ‘unbreakable’

    • Auzo

      Plastics make it possible :p

I guess AMOLEDs can be made from plastic instead of glass.

        Fantastic! Thank you muuuch

Glass is bendable to a degree as well. I believe when they did tests on the S3, they put the glass under some newtons of force to showcase it. However, in real life, it comes down to shock.

Unbreakable OLED displays manufactured from plastics instead of glass makes it unbreakable !!

Anti-projectile material is possible for a smartphone’s screen? I always asked this myself.

S4 because of the following reasons
    1.Removable battery
    2. Expandable storage
    3. Unbreakable SAMOLED screen

I don’t know. Samsung doesn’t have great radios and tends to get so-so coverage in fringe areas and isn’t known for being very timely with updates, but HTC locks down access to using free wifi hotspot apps and while I like Sense it’s gotten to be a bit too much. I’m not sure which will be the better option. That unbreakable screen from Samsung would be pretty sweet though!

I think from here on out I will always be using a CM mod instead of the OEM skin no matter who i go with and here’s why. I currently have a HTC EVO 4g LTE. It started as a good phone but it wasn’t until i put on CMX that it became great. HTC Sense is so heavy handed that even with some of the great functionality that it adds the net effect is that it’s a worse than Stock Android experience.

Samsung touchwiz on the other hand is primarily a positive. The reason i say that is that they add tons of functionality without bogging down android. The problem is i really dislike the Aesthetics. So much so that I would probably give up all the functionality for a stock look.

One thing that they both have in common is that they both have some amazing software features, that if were offered as standalone apps, I would use in a heartbeat. Unfortunately its an all or nothing proposition.

I just wish it wasn’t mandatory for screen sizes to 1up the last offering. Until bezels can diminish, I think screens are fine under 5″.

I would love a bleeding edge flagship device in the 4″ to 4.3″ range with minimal bezel.
